Agbor was accused of uploading a video on social media on October 7, 2026, in which he claimed ownership of two military combat helicopters and expressed his intention to sell one of them.
The spokesperson for the Airport Police Command, Adeola Mohammed, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, explaining that the suspect was transferred to the command’s International Division by the Provost Investigation Unit of the Nigerian Air Force in Ikeja for further investigation and necessary action.
According to the police, investigations were concluded before Agbor was brought before a court of competent jurisdiction to face the allegations.
The case has been adjourned until November 18, 2026.
The Commissioner of Police for the Airport Police Command, Olufunke Ogunbode, described the alleged conduct as a serious security concern, warning that such actions could compromise the operations of security agencies.
Ogunbode assured the public that the case would be handled in accordance with the law and commended the Nigerian Air Force for its cooperation throughout the investigation.
She also stressed the importance of collaboration among security agencies in identifying and addressing potential threats to airport safety.
The police commissioner urged companies and other stakeholders operating within the airport environment to strengthen employee screening, vetting and background checks to reduce the risk of security breaches.
The command reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and critical national infrastructure, while urging members of the public to remain vigilant and support efforts to maintain a safe airport environment.
